Anybody who has a dog, or multiple dogs, knows that cleaning up their poop is a messy job. At Dog Butler, we understand that not everybody has the time (or the desire) to clean up after their dogs. This is why we offer to clean up your dog’s mess as your pooper scooper. If you’re unfamiliar with this type of service, we have answers to some of the questions you might have for us.
Why hire a pooper scooper?
Dog poop is full of all kinds of harmful bacteria and pathogens that can cause disease in humans and animals. If you leave your dog’s poo in your yard, these harmful microbes can soak into the soil and eventually make their way into the water supply. Furthermore, dog poop is smelly and messy. Without regular yard cleanup, your yard is like a minefield with smelly poop that’s waiting to be stepped in.
Can I leave my dog’s poop to use as fertilizer?
The short answer here is no, you cannot use your dog’s poop to fertilize your lawn. This is because dog poo is too acidic to properly breakdown and provide the nutrients your lawn needs. In fact, dog poop has the opposite effect on your grass. It will kill your grass and make it look spotty.
Do I need to sign a contract?
Never! Whether you want us to pick up poop three times a week, once a week, or just need a one-time service, we’re here to help. We want to provide you with the flexibility that you need to make sure that your yard is beautiful and clean from your dog’s poop.
Do you clean commercial areas?
No matter how strict your pet policies are, there are stray dogs or even inconsiderate people who will leave dog poo on your company property. We can take care of this nuisance and keep your courtyards and outdoor areas clean.
Who is a pooper scooper service best for?
If you own a dog and you don’t have the time or desire to clean up after your dog, Dog Butler is a great partner. The team at Dog Butler is here to take care of the dirty work so you don’t have to do it yourself.
What do you do with my dog’s poop?
We will properly dispose of all waste in accordance with local laws. In Connecticut, this means we double bag your dog's poo as we take it out of your yard, and then we take it to the dump. Local laws do not recommend composting dog waste because of pathogens that are harmful to humans and animals.
Did you have any issues with my yard?
We love dogs! So, we look forward to seeing your dog each time we come for our pooper scooper service. However, we also understand that there will be times that issues arise. Locked gates and aggressive pets are just two possible issues that we might have. If this is the case, we’ll be sure to follow up with a text, email or phone call.
Do you have any special offers?
We do! At Dog Butler, we offer a "2 months for the price of one" special for February, March, and April!
